What is Curacorn®?
Curacorn® is a specialised podiatry treatment using a highly viscous form of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), carefully injected into specific areas of the foot to provide internal cushioning.
By reducing pressure and friction beneath the skin, Curacorn® helps relieve painful, persistent and recurring corns and pressure-related lesions, providing longer-lasting relief and improved foot comfort.
Treatment is carried out by a trained podiatrist following a thorough assessment to determine whether Curacorn® is suitable for you.
Why Choose Curacorn®?
- Relieves Pain: Helps reduce pressure and friction, easing discomfort from painful corns and pressure points.
- Long-Lasting Results: Results can last up to 18 months, helping reduce the need for repeated treatments.
- Minimally Invasive: A non-surgical treatment designed to improve cushioning beneath the skin.
- Quick Recovery: Most patients can return to their normal activities shortly after treatment.
- Addresses Pressure: Helps reduce the pressure contributing to recurring corns, rather than simply removing the visible lesion.
Who Can Benefit from Curacorn®?
Curacorn® may be beneficial for patients experiencing pain caused by pressure, friction or reduced cushioning in the foot, including:
- Painful Corns: Particularly corns between the toes or over prominent areas such as hammer toes.
- Pressure-Related Calluses: Thickened skin caused by repeated pressure and friction.
- Reduced Foot Cushioning: Loss of natural fatty padding beneath the skin, resulting in increased pressure and discomfort.
Our Approach to Curacorn® Treatment
At Amrita Foot Clinic, we take a personalised approach to every Curacorn® treatment, with your comfort, safety and individual needs at the centre of your care.
- Assessment: We carefully assess your foot and the affected area to determine whether Curacorn® is suitable for you.
- Personalised Treatment: Your treatment is tailored to the area of pressure and the specific needs of your foot.
- The Procedure: A local anaesthetic is used to keep you comfortable while the Curacorn® HA gel is precisely injected into the targeted area.
- Aftercare: We provide clear aftercare advice and arrange follow-up when required to monitor your progress.
What to Expect During the Procedure
- Local Anaesthetic: The treatment area is numbed to help ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
- Precise Injection: The Curacorn® HA gel is carefully injected beneath the skin into the identified pressure area.
- Quick Procedure: Treatment usually takes around 30–60 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated.
- After Treatment: Mild swelling or bruising may occur and usually settles within a few days. Most patients can return to their normal activities shortly after treatment.
Put Comfort Back Under Your Feet
If painful or recurring corns are affecting the way you walk or enjoy your everyday activities, ask your podiatrist whether Curacorn® could be suitable for you.
